A Perfect New York Itinerary From City Experts

New York City’s endless options in food, shopping, and entertainment can be combined into an infinite combination of activities to partake in a perfect New York night. Most locals narrow down the dizzying array of options to create their own go-to lists of usual haunts, favorite hangouts, and fail safe dishes, while first-time visitors to the city may find sheer number of options staggering. We’ve asked the New York connoisseurs at City Experts, the onsite concierge team at Row NYC, for a complete itinerary of their perfect night in Manhattan. From beginning to bed, we’re happy to share their complete itineraries and favorite spots in the city. Follow their plans for a Perfect New York Night, or check out a few of their tried-and-true spots and mix it up with your own personal bucket list items for your own quintessential night in New York City:

“If anyone is looking for wonderful environment and food, Benjamin Prime Steakhouse is a must, everything from the service down to the dishes are absolutely top notch. It’s located east of Times Square, which makes it the best possible location to sightsee before or after dinner, or even to partake in late-hour nightlife. The restaurant is well known and has even hosted some major celebrities because of its renowned quality. Large groups are fine, and are able to be accommodated. My favorite dish is the Porterhouse Steak, which can feed up to 4 people.

If catching a show, the Theater District has plenty of options that will leave you close enough to enjoy the energy of Times Square while not having to worry about missing your event. New York's Italian food is a must and there are an abundance of options. My top two choices within the neighborhood would have to be La Masseria, if seeing a matinee, or Azalea for evening shows. Both have amazing pastas and indoor and outdoor seating, if the weather permits. They are both a few minutes walk from many top theaters for shows, and close to the Hell's Kitchen area, which is a great area for a fun night out.

If going for a night out, the Meatpacking District is the place to be. This trendy area is home to many popular restaurants offering different types of cuisines. There are plenty bar and lounges in the area, making it a major hot spot for nightlife. If downtown, I would highly recommend Catch NYC. The restaurant is a trendy food spot that houses a rooftop bar, which catches quite a crowd during the weekends. The Truffle Sashimi is my favorite appetizer!”

“A five minute walk from the Row NYC, you can take the subway to Brooklyn via the A train to DUMBO (don't let the name fool you ). It is the best spot to capture the Brooklyn Bridge, with an amazing view of Manhattan's skyline. Another of my favorite tips, is that the photos, look even better at sunset or nighttime.
For dinner, try the best pizza in the city. Juliana's is in the area. There is probably going to be a line but trust me.. it is worth the wait!!!
Though it’s more of a daytime activity, another of my favorite spots is the Highline Park. It is an elevated freight rail transformed into a park on Manhattan's west side that stretches for 1.5 miles. Walking through these buildings offers unique views of the city and the Hudson River. You can eat seasonal food and look at art work while surrounded by plants and flowers. This makes a great spot for a date or families.”
