230 Fifth

230 Fifth is New York’s largest outdoor rooftop garden and fully enclosed penthouse lounge with simply breathtaking views of the NYC skyline.

About 230 Fifth: Sophisticated night owls looking for an upscale venue with breathtaking views won’t want to miss 230 Fifth, a luxurious lounge and rooftop bar that offers high-class excitement with a refreshingly unpretentious attitude.

Off the elevator on the 20th floor, guests will find themselves in the candlelit Penthouse Lounge, a colorful indoor space with a restaurant, a sleek white-and-chrome bar, and a sea of tufted low sofas in purples, blues, and reds. Those who prefer their cocktails al fresco are in for a treat, as one of the biggest roof gardens in the city awaits up a short flight of stairs. Towering palm trees, flowers, and foliage interspersed with park benches and patio chairs combine to create a natural wonderland, made all the more incredible by the panoramic view of the New York skyline in all its glittering glory. Alcoves and private cabanas offer space for groups. Patrons stopping by in the winter needn’t worry about missing out on the rooftop experience, as heat lamps and rolling racks of red robes and blankets are provided to keep the crowds warm when the weather isn’t. 230 Fifth also offers a delectable menu, primarily created by renowned chef John Benedetti, who has been featured numerous times in The New York Times ‘Dining Out’ section.

230 Fifth sits atop a 20 story building built in 1914 and formerly known as the “Lighting Building”. In the early 1990′s, the building was converted into a wholesale showroom building for the home industries, which is now known as The New York MarketCenter.

It is home to over 200 showrooms housing a diverse collection of product lines and categories. These include: Home Textiles, Fine Gifts, Tabletop, Bed and Bath Linens, Kitchen, Furniture, Window Treatments, Stationery, Personal Care, Loungewear, Decorative Accessories, Home Furnishings, Gourmet, Collectibles, Holiday, Toys, Dolls and Plush, Architectural Products, Art, General Merchandise and more.
